From the supplier: Policy decisions in the state of New Jersey are examined to determine their economic impact on the household level. Fiscal reforms, namely allocation for educational subsidies and property tax rebates, are examined in terms of a model of voter decisions based on households as the basic decision unit. This approach is unable to determine whether voter decisions are based on economic or ideological bases due to aggregation biases. However, the study is able to determine that legislators base their policy decisions on perceived economic benefits to their constituents.
